Managing Director

Mwangi Githaiga has served the Institution for the last 15 years and has risen through the ranks to the Managing Director position. He holds a Masters of Business Administration degree, specializing in Strategic Management from Moi University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Anthony Chege
Operations Director

Anthony Chege joined the institution in 2008 as the Operations Director. He holds masters of Business Administration degree from Moi University. He has worked with both local and multinational banks for 18 years and brings to the institution a wealth of experience from the banking industry.

Benson Kitabu
Finance Director

Kariuki Kitabu has served the institution for the last 18 years and has risen through the ranks to the Head of Finance position. He holds a Masters of Business Administration Finance Option, a Bachelor of Science and is also Certified Public Accountant. He has a wealth of experience in the Microfinance Industry.

Juliana E. Wanjiru

General Manager, Marketing

Juliana Wanjiru holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Marketing & Business Administration from Daystar University and an Executive MBA- Strategic Management from Moi University. She has studied Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from KIM. Juliana has over 9 years experience and knowledge in marketing and Banking within the financial industry.

Kipkemoi Kibet
General Manager, ICT

Kipkemoi Kibet holds Bachelor Arts Degree from the University of Nairobi. He has over 13 years experience in mainstream ICT and has worked in various financial institutions.

Rose Muyanga
General Manager Risk and Compiance.

Rose Muyanga holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Finance from the University of Nairobi and is a CPA (K). Rose has over 9 years experience in Consultancy Audit, Internal Audit and Risk Management gained from various sectors of the economy.

Isabella Nyambura 

General Manager Strategy & PA to MD.

Isabella Nyambura holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration (Strategic Management Option) and Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) Degree both from the University of Nairobi.  She also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Law, Higher Diploma in Human Resources and is a Certified Public Secretary.  She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.  She has 6 years experience in legal practice and 4 years in the microfinance industry.

Christine Mwea

General Manager Liabilities.  

Ms Mwea joined KWFT in 2000 in the Operations Department and rose through the ranks to her current position of GM- Liabilities.  She holds a Bachelor of Education (Arts) in Economics and History and a Masters Degree in Strategic Management both from The University of Nairobi.

Mr. George Kinyajui
Head of credit.

Mr. Kinyanjui holds a Degree in Business & Economics (B.ED) from the Kenyatta University and a Masters in Business Administration from Moi University.

He joined KWFT in January 1999 and has risen through the ranks to his current position. Mr. Kinyanjui has a wealth of experience and knowledge in Microfinance.

Jackson Wanjau

Mr. Wanjau holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Studies and Economics - Kenyatta University and a MBA in Strategic Management from the University of Nairobi. He also holds a Higher Diploma in Human Resources Management from Institute of Personnel Management. He joined KWFT in November 1997 and has risen through the ranks to his current position. Mr. Wanjau has a wealth of experience and knowledge in Microfinance.

Peninah Mwangi

General Manager Operations (Western Zone)

Ms Mwangi joined KWFT in 1993 in Operations Department and worked in various regions across the country, rising through the ranks to her current position of GM- Operations.  She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Nairobi and has attended several trainings and seminars on microfinance both locally and internationally. Penina has great wealth of experience in microfinance practice.

Pearson Njeru

General manager Operations(Central Zone)

Mr. Njeru joined KWFT in 2002 in Credit Department and worked in various regions across the country, rising through the ranks to his current position of General Manager Operations. He holds a Diploma in business administration from Kenya Polytechnic University and currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration at Kenya Methodist University and has attended several trainings and seminars on microfinance. Pearson has great wealth of experience in microfinance practice.

Judy Kiragu

General Manager Operations(Eastern Zone)


Ms Kiragu joined KWFT in 1999 in Operations Department and rose through the ranks to her current position of GM- Operations.  She holds a graduate Diploma in General Management from Cambridge Association of Managers (UK), diploma in cooperate management, diploma in technical education, post-graduate diploma in management Human resource. Judy has great wealth of experience in microfinance practice.

Sylvia Rotich

General  Manager Operations(Central Zone)

Sylvia Rotich a Diploma in Cooperative Management and Technical Education as well as Human Resource Management.  She has attended several training in Microfinance both locally and Internationally.  She is currently pursuing a degree in Business Management at Moi University. Sylvia Rotich has 12 years experience in microfinance.
